Continuous Eligibility Policy (Withdrawing or Failing a Dual Enrollment Class)
If a DE student WITHDRAWS from or FAILS a dual enrollment class, that student will be placed on a 1-Term Suspension, not to be
served during the summer semester
This can have serious implications for students utilizing college credit coursework to fulfill high school requirements
Consult with your college instructors, high school counselors, and the dual enrollment staff if you feel you need to withdraw from a
class
Withdraws must be pre-approved by high school counselors for all students in home school, public school, or private school dual
enrollment programs
If you are in jeopardy of FAILING a class, talk with your college instructor, the dual enrollment staff & your high school counselor to
determine the best course of action
Take advantage of the STARS Institute & Tutoring Centers on either campus (HSV or DEC), which are FREE resources to help students
succeed at Calhoun and are available to high school dual enrollment students

PARKING DECAL & STUDENT ID CARD
(Where & When to Obtain each)
Students may obtain their parking decal and student ID Card in either
campus (HSV or DEC) student center.
Parking Decals need to be used when students park on campus
Student ID Cards can be obtained AFTER you have been registered for class
Both are FREE and available to current students
Use these and many other resources at Calhoun to succeed!
Dual Enrollment Student Responsibility
(Important Items to Remember)
By enrolling in the dual enrollment program, a student assumes all responsibility of the enrollment process, and
may delegate certain individuals access (per FERPA) of their Record, but the student is ultimately responsible for:
Ensuring Tuition Payments are submitted in full, by the due date each semester
Ensuring all forms, documentation & paperwork has been submitted to the appropriate office for processing
Contacting the dual enrollment office regarding any registration changes (dropping classes, withdrawing, etc.)
Submitting the necessary documentation for the Workforce Scholarship (for eligible students) each semester
Communicating directly with the Dual Enrollment staff throughout each semester as needed
Utilizing Calhoun Provided (Outlook) Email Account and other technology/software as instructed
Consulting with their transfer college to ensure transferability & eligibility of dual enrollment college credit
To ensure success, Dual Enrollment students must assume a great deal of responsibility, which can be helpful in the transition to becoming a full time college student,
following high school graduation. The dual enrollment office is here to help in this transition and to answer any questions you have. Students are encouraged to complete
the FERPA (Family Education Rights & Privacy Act) Form, which will allow the college to discuss some aspects of student accounts freely with parents/guardians.
